Using Your iCU2 Profile

Your iCU2 Video Chat Mini Self View:
When you download and install iCU2 Video Chat software it starts with a default Mini Self View with links to Edit Your Profile.
Double clicking your Self View will open your external, larger view.
Clicking Edit My Profile will open the editable screen of your voluntary profile information:
This entire area is voluntary, but we strongly suggest you include the basics -Nickname, Age and Gender and Photo. Some rooms DO require that you have an accurate age in your profile.
Snapshot: This can be refreshed and re-taken any time by using the refresh button. It will instantly take your live photo. The snapshot you take here can be seen by anyone else on iCU2, via the Room Directories, Message Center, a Call, or while you are watching a Video on Demand. (please be aware that some rooms do not allow nudity in your profile photo, and impersonating someone else in your photo is a lifetime ban-able offense.) Adult and Mature content is allowed in most of the iCU2 Chat rooms.
Although static images can be posted in your profile with the help of other cam softwares, a current, actual snapshot of you is recommended and you’ll find most appreciated amongst the community of iCU2 video chatters.
Other Profile Information: You may add a personal website link to your profile. The link area now recognizes Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. Link to your favorite sites, or a site that tells other users more about you! This is not an area for private information and should not be used to solicit business of any sort.
Your Comments: Share a bit of insight, or just about anything you like here. Plenty of space to introduce yourself, or what you are interested in on iCU2.
*Admin and Moderators will often have helpful links in their profiles. Feel free to review their profiles or message them for a point in the right direction if you have questions about using iCU2 Video Chat.
View of your Profile in the Directories: When other users click on your name in any directory they will see all the information and image you have in your profile.
When you are invisible in the Directories your profile Nickname and Profile will NOT show in the list. But your profile IS still visible via Message Histories, and the live Video On Demand list, if you are watching another user’s VOD. Also, when you are chatting in the lobby; right clicking on your name will still show your Profile option.
From within the Message Center the Profile icon can be clicked to view the profile of anyone in your history.
What’s the profile look like when others see it? You can see for yourself. Find yourself in red in the live Lobby Directory and select yourself. Click on the mini profile view that appears at the bottom of your Main Window and your full profile with pop up to view.
Viewing your own profile is also an easy way to get to the editing area of your profile. The link to Edit Your Profile is only displayed when you are viewing your own profile.
The content of your profile is up to you. Moderators and Admin do wander the rooms often viewing user profiles to maintain a safe and real atmosphere in the chat rooms. Use individual room rules as a guide to when you might need to update or change your profiles.
Although an Admin can delete a profile according to Terms of Service, they cannot change the content of your profile. Any photos, personal information, or links in your profile should be posted at your own discretion.
