Substituting Your Profile Picture with Splitcam

Way back in January we posted a short “how-to” on using graphics in your cam on iCU2 chatting or Quick Messages. Well, requests have continued to come in on how exactly to take advantage of your own images in the chat rooms and more specifically – in your profile.
Splitcam
This tutorial will cover one software in detail that can make it possible for you to use any image in your collection (rightfullyowned by you or of you only – see iCU2 Video Chat TOS).
*Splitcam is not a product of iCU2 or Cybration Inc.
• You can check out and download Splitcam on Cnet.
• Once installed you will need it on and running to continue.
Set Your Video Source in iCU2
• Next, on iCU2 you’ll need to set your cam to Splitcam instead of whatever cam choice you normally use.
Now, on to how to make it happen:
Your iCU2 is on, your Splitcam is on, now choose what images you’d like to display from your Splitcam.
• Click on File, then Video Source, and Image File. Here you will be browsing your computer for the image you’d like to post in your profile.
Splitcam gives you the option of selecting a bunch to slideshow live at the speed of your choice. Fun!
• Once you choose your image you should see your choice in your self view as well as in the Splitcam window.
Once you see your choice of picture in your self view you are ready to update your profile.
• Choose Edit or Update your profile and click refresh. Voila! You have now used the picture of your choice to substitute the instant snapshot on your iCU2 Profile.
Keep in mind though, that if the image you choose is not quite the right size for the snapshot window, it will be surrounded by black and may be oddly squooshed to fit the area.
And that’s all there is to it with Splitcam.

There are of course, other softwares that serve the same features. They are listed in that tutorial I mentioned earlier. Check ‘em out and have a good time.
Remember we take our Terms of Service seriously. Impersonating anyone else, including famous people via photos or video on iCU2 is a bannable offense.
Have a software like this that you’d like some help in figuring out? Let us know- we’d be happy to post a guide for you here for folks to share.
Happy Chatting!
